What does a topic look like?

Each topic is different so that you get a good mix of presentation styles and activities. Each topic does, however, have some standard elements which will help you to become familiar with the both the programme content and layout.

Standard features include:

• A menu of subjects covered in the topic.
  
  
• Use of clear, jargon-free language in 'bite-sized' chunks of learning.
  
  
• Case studies, some using sound, video or pictures to bring each example alive.
  
  
• Activities that bring out your own personal skills and needs and encourage you to apply what you have learned.
  
  
• A 'progress tracker', showing which pages in the topic have been viewed.
